Santosha accepts no responsibility for any injuries incurred during the retreat. Medical history forms and waiver forms are to be completed and signed before the retreat begins. If you are unsure of your abilities due to previous injuries, please inform us beforehand. Modifications are given to students with special needs. Santosha has the right to cancel any event (Yoga Retreat or a Yoga Teacher Training) at any time if necessary, but will endeavour to do everything possible to ensure this does not occur.
Extra Charges
From time to time we may charge a administration and processing fee on all food, accommodation and other fees. This will be at our discretion, and may not necessarily be outlined to you at the time of booking.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Yoga and Health.com website fees: If you have applied to the course through the Yoga and Health website, there will be a 5% of a YTT fee which is paid to Yoga and Health . This fee is a Yoga and Health website fee. Thank you for understanding this.
- If you have ordered books with us on your application document, we will order the books for you and charge you accordingly. Once books are ordered, you must buy these books unless you have given us at least two weeks notification prior to the event.
- Santosha reserves the right to cancel any event (yoga retreats/yoga teacher trainings) if necessary. In the unlikely event that this occurs, a full refund of all monies will be returned to the client.
- In the unlikely extreme circumstance that Santosha had to cancel any YTT, Santosha will refund the full amount of the YTT only, not costs associated flights, transfer or transfer flights or any other cost incurred to you (it is highly suggested that students acquire travel insurance to cover any situation that may arise, such as change of ticket dates, sickness, family, etc.)
- Due to the organisation and preparation required for meals, students who ordered and paid for a meal package prior to the event can only transfer these to another student if they decide during the YTT they no longer want to be a part of the meal package. So please think carefully if you would like to pre-order meals or if you would prefer to prepare your own meals. The meals require much organisation between Santosha and the company providing the meals, so we appreciate your understanding of this. The meals are prepared with love and attention to detail. Please at any time give feedback to the chefs - taste, size of meals, variety and anything which can assist further to create the best possible food to be provided. We will email you if any terms for the accommodations change that we are using for each YTT.
- Please read and sign the indemnity forms prior to attendance. In order for you to participate in the Yoga Teacher Training, these forms must be signed and handed in.
- Please read and sign the ethical guidelines before attendance. In order for you to participate in the Yoga Teacher Training, these forms must be signed and handed in.
- Santosha believes in quality over quantity. Please email Santosha for current numbers in your course.
- All students must be present at registration for their course to receive manuals, t-shirts etc.
- Santosha often has Japanese students at our Yoga Teacher Trainings. If this is the case we provide translations during class. This provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about other cultures.
- 100% attendance is required at each YTT. In the event of sickness or other circumstances Santosha will work closely with the student to ensure she/he can attain their certificate and transfer the money paid for the YTT to another YTT if necessary.
- If you have any concerns about the accommodations please talk to the accommodation manager onsite for each YTT and place any concerns in writing so the situation can be rectified as soon as possible. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of all choices regarding accommodation, meals, and transport. It is also the student's responsibility to be aware of the required books and notes and the requirements of the course as outlined in the Practical Information, Student Handbook and Ethical Guidelines. Santosha will not be held responsible for any issues relating to the above.
Grievances
If you have a grievance it must be put in writing, outlining your concerns and be sent by registered mail and/or given directly to The Director no later than the end date of the course that you are participating in. While we welcome feedback after the course, clearly late concerns affect our ability to rectify any perceived difficulties or problems, and therefore no refunds, adjustments, rectification can take place. Further, in the event of a grievance it is not automatic that a refund, rectification or adjustment will be made.
The principal reserves the rights to terminate without refund any student who is deemed to be unfit, unable or unwilling to participate in the course. Termination of said participant in the course will only occur after a prior warning has been issued. (A YTT requires 100% commitment and an open mind to learning-- thus, beginner's mind--before an exchange of yoga can take place between a teacher and a student.)
The journey of a yogi is about embracing full awareness of choice.
